Emergency Medicine Physician

Frederick Health Hospital, in partnership with Sound Physicians, is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to practice in a high-acuity setting with a strong focus on clinical excellence and collaborative care. Practice Info

• Join a team of 15 physicians and 20 APPs at Frederick Health Hospital.
• Work alongside a Clinical Performance nurse and comprehensive ancillary services in the ED, including peer recovery, ED pharmacists, crisis intervention, social work, and case management.
• Opportunity to teach medical students, APPs, and residents from Shenandoah, Frostburg, and other local programs.
• Accountable, on-site leadership with a local medical director.
• The ED is ranked as the 3rd busiest in Maryland, with 80,000 annual visits.
• Designated as a STEMI Center and Primary Stroke Center, offering ED MRI for stroke and spinal cord emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Work in a high acuity setting with a 30% admission rate.
• Utilize cutting-edge facilities, including point-of-care ultrasound in the ED.

Compensation

• W2 rates equivalent to $225/hour days
• $240/hour nights

Requirements

• Board certified/eligible in emergency medicine
