Hiring: Embedded C Developers – OpenSync/OpenWrt Wi-Fi Router with Cellular | Denver, CO | Onsite ((4 Days a Week Onsite))
We're looking for experienced Embedded C Developers with strong expertise in Linux-based embedded platforms, OpenWrt, OpenSync, and cellular modem integration. The ideal candidates will develop and troubleshoot embedded software for cloud-managed Wi-Fi routers with LTE/5G connectivity, focusing on Linux networking, secure communication, and platform-level development.
Location: Denver, CO (4 Days a Week Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of Extension)
Experience: 5+ Years

Interview Process: 2 Rounds
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of hands-on Embedded C development on Linux-based platforms
- Strong C programming skills, including pointers, memory management, IPC, and event-driven architectures
- Experience with OpenWrt build systems, package management, UCI configuration, and JFFS2/SquashFS filesystems
- Hands-on experience with OpenSync or similar cloud-managed CPE frameworks
- Knowledge of OpenSync Managers, OVSDB, Protobuf, and MQTT telemetry
- Experience with LTE/5G cellular modem integration, AT commands, QMI/MBIM, and rmnet/wwan interfaces
- Strong understanding of Linux networking, routing, IPv4/IPv6, DHCP, SLAAC, prefix delegation, and network failover
- Experience with TLS mutual authentication, X.509 certificates, certificate validation, and secure provisioning
- Knowledge of GRE tunneling, IPsec, VPN overlays, and secure network encapsulation
- Experience with event loop frameworks such as libev or libuv
- Proficiency in GDB, strace, tcpdump, kernel logs, and serial console debugging
- Familiarity with Git, GitLab CI/CD, and cross-compilation toolchains
- Understanding of Wi-Fi standards 802.11ax/be and wireless driver configuration
What We're Looking For:
A strong Embedded C Engineer with hands-on OpenWrt/OpenSync platform development experience and solid Linux networking knowledge, particularly in LTE/5G cellular integration, routing, modem management, and secure cloud connectivity.
