Electronics Assembler

Electronics AssemblerPGS Worldwide is seeking an Electronics Assembler in Plymouth, MN for an approximately one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies, building modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables from diagrams and technical drawings.Required SkillsHigh school diploma or GED.Active IPC J-STD-001 certification.1-3+ years of experience hand soldering or assembling electronic components in a manufacturing environment.Ability to read and work from engineering diagrams, technical drawings, and detailed technical instructions.Experience using precision hand tools and power tools.Ability to perform electronic and electro-mechanical assembly operations.Ability to communicate effectively and work within a team environment.U.S. citizenship required.Preferred Skills5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.5+ years of hand-soldering experience, including inspection, complex rework/repair, and use of specialized soldering tools and equipment.Advanced ability to read, interpret, and work from technical documentation for electro-mechanical assemblies.Proficiency with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software.Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.Willingness to be trained to work on explosive assemblies.What You'll DoPerform repetitive and non-repetitive assembly operations on complex electronic and electro-mechanical subassemblies.Build modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables using precision hand and power tools, jigs, and saws.Work directly from engineering diagrams, technical drawings, and initial layouts.Perform continuity checks on in-process and completed assemblies.Conduct quality inspections to verify completed work.Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble electronic and mechanical assemblies.Test assemblies under simulated operating conditions.Follow detailed technical instructions and established manufacturing processes.Work Schedule / Shift1st shift.9/80A work schedule.Pay$26.67 per hour.Job ID: 1999Military veterans and transitioning military members are encouraged to apply to all PGS Worldwide positions.
