Oilfield Electronics TechnicianEmployee will maintain and troubleshoot electronic equipment, systems, tools, and computers used in oilfield operations. Responsible for performing repairs, troubleshooting, maintenance, and calibrations of electrical equipment both in the shop and field locations supporting both the wireline and pumpdown divisions of the organization. The technician will be the main point of contact for all electrical/electro-mechanical equipment.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform scheduled and preventative maintenance on loggers, pumps, auxiliary equipment and toolsPerform repairs on equipment both in the field and at the shopTroubleshoot systems, electrical equipment, and components as they arise recommending solutions or performing repairs as neededTravel to location to perform repairs on electronics and equipment as neededInstall or repair systems to ensure proper functionalityRepair and support PC's running windows and other proprietary systemsTest equipment to ensure it meets all company standardsPerform calibrations when neededAdhere to all health, safety, and environmental policiesFollow all company best practicesPerform other duties and tasks as assignedAssist field service managers with troubleshootingAssist other electronic technicians as neededRequired Skills and AbilitiesEffective troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWorking knowledge of Warrior, SIEMENS, SCADA, AMI, Dragon, and able to troubleshoot systemsAbility to use systems diagnostic softwareWorking knowledge of different power generation systemsAble to repair, troubleshoot, and maintain 12 Volt and 24 Volt DC systemsAbility to interpret schematicsPerform component troubleshootingTravel to the field during on call schedulingVast knowledge of Windows-based systemsHave good written and oral communication skillsAbility to be on call as scheduled and work nights and weekends as requiredAbility to make real-time management decisionsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent1-3 years of oilfield electronics technician experience4-year degree preferred, will consider 2-year degreeWill consider military equivalent trainingProficiency in Microsoft OfficeObtain ATF clearanceMust pass a criminal background check and alcohol screeningValid driver's licenseBenefitsCompetitive salaryMedicalDentalVision401(k)401(k) MatchLife and AD&DPaid time offCompany truck10/4 ScheduleThe physical demands described here represent those required for an employee to successfully perform the role's essential functions.
