Electrical Project Manager – Municipal Wastewater Construction
Location: West Palm Beach & Miami, FL
Job Type: 12-Month W-2 Contract

Compensation: $60–$85/hour DOE

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to support multiple municipal wastewater construction projects throughout South Florida.
The Project Manager will oversee project execution from planning through closeout, managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, field activities, project documentation, and client communication.
This is a fully onsite position supporting three active projects, with daily travel between jobsites in the West Palm Beach and Miami areas. Mileage and approved business expenses will be reimbursed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical and municipal wastewater construction projects from planning through completion
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and project controls
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, engineers, and municipal stakeholders
- Monitor field progress and address construction issues and delays
- Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Conduct regular jobsite visits and project meetings
- Ensure projects comply with contract documents, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements
- Maintain clear communication with clients, subcontractors, field teams, and internal leadership
- Track project milestones, costs, and deliverables
- Identify and resolve project risks and field issues
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Project Management experience
- Required: Municipal wastewater or water treatment construction experience
- Electrical construction/project management experience
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP)
- Water Treatment Plants
- Lift Stations
- Pump Stations
- Force Mains
- Municipal water/wastewater infrastructure
- Strong experience with scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and project controls
- Strong client and stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to travel daily between project sites in the West Palm Beach and Miami areas
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work onsite at active construction projects
Municipal wastewater construction experience is non-negotiable.
Candidates coming exclusively from residential or commercial construction without municipal water/wastewater experience will not be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Florida municipal projects
- PMP certification
- OSHA 30 certification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with heavy civil, utility, or water/wastewater contractors
- CM-Lean or DBIA certification
