Electrical InspectorThe City of Topeka is seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician to join its Planning and Development Services team. This is an entry level inspection position that is responsible for conducting inspections, verifying compliance with Municipal Building Codes and related ordinances, and supporting safe electrical practices. This position works Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.What you'll do:Inspect residential and commercial buildings during and after constructionIdentify and document violations and unsafe conditionsIssue notices and orders for corrective actionsWrite reports detailing inspection findingsThe ideal candidate has:The ability to prioritize and multi-taskOutstanding customer service skillsKnowledge of the electrical construction industryAn aptitude for technology and is proficient with the Microsoft Office SuiteMinimum qualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalent required.Must be a licensed Journeyman Electrician.Must possess and maintain a valid Kansas driver's license and city insurable driving record.
