We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join a growing commercial electrical contractor in the Tyler, TX area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial electrical construction, with experience preparing accurate estimates, reviewing blueprints, and managing the bidding process.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial construction projects.
- Review blueprints, specifications, and bid documents to determine project costs.
- Perform material takeoffs and develop labor and material pricing.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and project risks.
- Work closely with project managers and operations teams during bid preparation and project handoff.
Qualifications
- Commercial electrical estimating experience is required.
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Experience reading electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Proficiency with electrical estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Compensation
- Base Salary: $85,000–$100,000, depending on experience.
