Remote Contract Architecture and Engineering Occupations
Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training)
About the Role
We're looking for experienced electrical engineers to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems - from circuit analysis to power systems - making a real impact on the future of intelligent technology.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed to fit around your existing schedule.
  • Organization
    : Alignerr
  • Type
    : Hourly Contract
  • Location
    : Remote
  • Commitment
    : 10-40 hours/week
What You'll Do
  • Design Technical Challenges
    - Craft advanced electrical engineering problems across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, and electromagnetics to rigorously test AI performance
  • Author Ground-Truth Solutions
    - Develop precise, step-by-step solutions and benchmark responses that AI systems use as the gold standard for learning
  • Audit AI Outputs
    - Evaluate AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, and others)
  • Improve AI Reasoning
    - Identify logical errors and flawed assumptions in AI-generated engineering reasoning, then provide structured, actionable feedback to improve model performance
  • Stress-Test Model Limits
    - Probe AI systems on topics like embedded systems, control systems, VLSI, and simulations to expose failure modes and help harden model reasoning
Who You Are
  • Currently pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Strong foundational expertise in one or more core domains - VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or similar
  • Able to communicate highly technical concepts clearly and concisely in written English
  • Exceptionally precise when working with mathematical equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation
  • Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on your own schedule
  • No prior AI or machine learning experience required
Nice to Have
  • Experience with data annotation, technical writing, or quality evaluation systems
  • Familiarity with engineering simulation tools or hardware description languages
  • Background in reviewing or authoring technical documentation to professional standards
Why Join Us
  • Work on genuinely cutting-edge AI projects alongside top research labs and teams
  • Fully remote and async - work when and where it suits you
  • Gain rare behind-the-scenes exposure to how advanced large language models are trained and evaluated
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration with experts across disciplines
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension based on performance
