You will work closely with the program leadership and a wide spectrum of cross-departments as part of a team focused on solving hard problems and changing the industry forever. In this role you will be responsible for designing and supporting the integration of various electrical subsystems, supporting testing efforts, and ensuring overall system performance meets the required specifications and standards. Join our dynamic team and help us build the next generation of autonomous maritime systems.What You'll Do:Develop electrical schematics, power system single line diagrams, system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses that connect electronic equipment within a subsystem and between subsystemsDesign electrical interfaces and enclosures for integration of sensors, and peripheral equipment with autonomous systemsTroubleshoot issues that span the electrical and software boundaries, with solid skills using both test equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) and basic software debugging toolsDevelop subsystems (sensors, interfaces, power management, and networking) for bespoke capabilitiesWork closely with other electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional productsWork in a fast-paced environment balancing schedule against cost and performance parametersConduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews, perform requirements analysis, and plan system verification to ensure compliance with project goals and industry standardsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systemsKnowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuitsExperience developing schematics, interconnect diagrams, and wiring harnessesComfortable with a variety of electronic CAD tools (NX, SolidWorks, others acceptable)Familiarity with networking and standard interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, I2C, USB, MODBUS, ProfiNet, etcCompetence with test equipment such as multi-meter, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and automation of testsExperience with electro-mechanical and electrical design conceptsExperience in design for signal integrity / power integrityExperience in designing and integrating low-power electronicsExperience in fieldable system designFamiliarity with developing and executing test plans for complex systemsHigh-ownership and a bias toward action – if you see a problem, you want to solve and fix itEligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearanceAbility to travel 25% with potential surges above 25%US Salary Range$129,000 - $171,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
