We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Education Director to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for a dynamic, multicultural early learning program serving diverse communities.
As the ECE Director, you will play a critical role in ensuring program excellence, supporting and developing staff, maintaining compliance and accreditation standards, and fostering meaningful partnerships with families. What You'll Do
Lead and Develop Staff
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain talented early childhood education professionals.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, performance management, and professional development opportunities for staff.
- Support Lead Teachers and Specialists in achieving program goals and maintaining high standards of classroom practice.
- Foster an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative work environment.
Oversee Program Operations
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality early childhood education services.
- Support enrollment growth, family engagement, and community partnerships.
- Oversee implementation of developmentally appropriate, anti-bias, multicultural curriculum.
- Ensure classrooms provide safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environments.
Ensure Compliance and Quality
- Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements and accreditation standards.
- Monitor health, safety, and quality assurance practices throughout the center.
- Manage program records and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Develop and oversee program budgets.
- Partner with finance and enrollment teams to support operational and financial goals.
- Monitor resources and ensure effective fiscal stewardship.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, Child Development, or a related field; or equivalent qualifications meeting licensing requirements.
- Minimum two years of experience as an Early Childhood Education classroom teacher.
- Minimum one year of experience working with diverse populations.
- Coursework in administration, leadership, or management; or a Director Credential.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated cultural competency and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
