Driver / Warehouse- HOLT Truck Centers
The Parts Delivery Driver and Warehouse Associate delivers customer parts with excellent customer service, keep inventory control, and maintain a safe and secure environment. This position also works within the Dealership warehouse stocking parts, perform cycle counting, pull orders, dirty core processing, and general warehouse duties.
Essential Functions:
- Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
- Deliver to customer safely, efficiently and on time
- Ensure proper inventory control
- Make sure customer needs are met and any issues addressed
- Ensure proper items pulled for delivery order
- Properly load orders into delivery vehicle
- Delivery to customers in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain proper condition of delivery vehicle and notify supervisor of any repairs needed
- Verify orders for correct pulls
- Ensure cores are returned for credit
- Return incorrectly ordered parts
- Stock shelves as needed
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
- Ensure orders are delivered on time
- Ensure all orders are accurate before delivery
- Quickly resolve any erroneous parts deliveries
- Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
- Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Performs other duties assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- General knowledge of trucking industry helpful
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer service skills
- General understanding of inventory management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Forklift certified
- Some delivery experience is preferred
- Must have valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Travel:
- Travel locally up to 100%
Physical Requirements:
- Employee is required to stand, walk, kneel, squat, crawl, bend, and twist
- Employee may have to climb and/or lift to and over 80 lbs. frequently
- Visual requirements are constant
Work Environment:
- Duties are performed throughout the inside and outside of the building(s)
- Employee is exposed to dirt, dust, heat, cold, noise and vibration, fumes and odors, wetness, and humidity and sometimes darkness
