Director of SEC Reporting

A rapidly scaling, vertically integrated behind-the-meter natural gas data center developer is seeking a Director of SEC Reporting to own external financial reporting. The company delivers power and digital infrastructure together at scale and is building out its leadership team to support national expansion.

This is a foundational hire responsible for building a public-company reporting infrastructure and process that can scale alongside rapid growth, capital raises, and campus development milestones.

Responsibilities

• Own preparation and filing of all SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and related exhibits
• Lead technical accounting research and documentation (ASC/GAAP) for new transactions, including capital raises, debt facilities, joint ventures, and leases
• Manage the external reporting calendar and drive the quarter-end and year-end close and disclosure process in coordination with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and Investor Relations
• Maintain and enhance disclosure controls and procedures (DCP) and internal control over financial reporting (ICFR), including SOX compliance readiness
• Draft MD&A, risk factors, and other narrative disclosures in coordination with Legal and executive leadership
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors on financial statement audits and reviews
• Monitor emerging SEC rules, accounting standards updates, and reporting requirements applicable to a smaller reporting company, and drive implementation
• Support ad hoc SEC filings tied to capital markets activity, including registration statements and prospectus supplements
• Build and lead a team as the reporting function scales alongside company growth

Requirements

• 8+ years in SEC/external financial reporting, including public company 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K preparation
• Strong technical accounting research and application skills across complex and evolving transactions
• Experience with disclosure controls, ICFR, and SOX compliance
• CPA required
• Industry background not required; strong public company reporting experience across any sector is valued
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and Investor Relations
