Senior Manufacturing / Production Engineer
Overview:
Peskind Executive Search is representing a fast-growing communications technology company seeking a Senior Manufacturing / Production Engineer to support and optimize high‑volume electronics production. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring product quality, improving manufacturing efficiency, and supporting production scale across assembly operations.
This is a hands‑on role requiring strong technical depth in electronics, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Location: Richardson, Texas (On‑Site) Full‑Time
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day support of manufacturing and assembly line operations for electronic products
- Partner closely with Quality Assurance to ensure all products meet strict quality standards and compliance requirements
- Troubleshoot complex technical and production issues across the manufacturing line
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation including:
- Work instructions
- Production reports (on a daily basis)
- Defect tracking and analysis (on a daily basis)
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Oversee quality control processes for incoming and finished goods (FRI inspection on a random pickup and based on an AQL standard)
- Support inventory management activities including:
- Component verification
- Cycle counting
- BOM (Bill of Materials) validation and testing
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on:
- Production efficiency
- Throughput optimization
- Defect reduction
- Identify bottlenecks in the production process and implement corrective actions
- Support product testing, validation, and pre‑production builds
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, QA, and operations teams
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or production operations , ideally within electronics or communications hardware
- Strong background in electronics troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Deep understanding of SMT (Surface Mount Technology) processes and assembly
- Experience with lean manufacturing and process optimization methodologies
- Proven ability to conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
- Experience working with BOMs, inventory systems, and production validation
- Proficiency with Windows‑based systems , including:
- Debugging tools
- Third‑party applications
- USB drivers and device‑level troubleshooting
- Strong analytical skills with a detail‑oriented mindset
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and operational teams
Preferred Experience
- Experience in high‑growth or scaling hardware environments
- Background in telecommunications, wireless devices, or ruggedized hardware
- Exposure to compliance‑driven manufacturing environments
