We're looking for a Director of Engineering to lead our engineering organization, set technical direction across multiple programs, and build the team and processes that support us as we scale. You'll manage engineering managers and senior staff, own our technical strategy, and act as the senior technical voice with customers and leadership.
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop engineering managers and senior engineers across R&D, process, and manufacturing engineering
- Set technical strategy and direction for the engineering organization, aligned with business goals
- Own engineering resourcing, budgets, and hiring across multiple concurrent programs
- Act as senior technical escalation point for customers and internal stakeholders
- Drive design controls, risk management, and quality system compliance across all engineering work
- Partner with Quality, Regulatory, and Operations leadership on program strategy and new product introduction
- Build and scale engineering processes, tools, and best practices as the business grows
Must Have
- Engineering degree, advanced degree a plus
- 12+ years in medical device engineering, including significant people leadership experience
- Proven track record leading engineering teams through new product development and sustaining programs
- Strong grasp of design controls, risk management, and regulated manufacturing environments
- Comfortable owning budget, resourcing, and strategic planning
Good To Have
- Experience across multiple therapeutic areas or device classes
- Lean or Six Sigma leadership experience
Salary Range:
$175,000-$220,000 | Full benefits, 401(k) with match, PTO, bonus and equity potential
