Director of Finance

Director Of FinanceThe Director Of Finance has a passion for process improvement and results. This position will be responsible for managing multiple projects – which means having extensive knowledge of the industry, finance, and company output. This role is onsite in Alpharetta, GA.Your key responsibilities include:Assist with driving starts and deliveries and provide transparency for issues and solutionsWork with EVP(s) for effective rollouts of process flow mappingMonitor all site budgetsReview all soft cost and indirect budgets and notify EVPs monthly for budget over and under analysisMonitor and control SG&A costsPerform scenarios for headcount and SG&A for new marketsPrepare scenarios for investor dealsProvide operational data for the Annual Plan and forecast updatesPerform post-acquisition project reviews comparing actual results with original underwriting to identify trends or gaps and areas of improvement for future dealsManage the land development budget update monthlyProvide analytical support to management to improve homebuilding operations and identify cost savings and revenue enhancement opportunitiesWork closely with the Sales and Marketing department to establish correct project-level pricing, including base prices and lot premiumsSupport management to continue the process improvement efforts driven to standardized processes in all aspects of the operationOversee internal control and other accounting/operational procedures within the Division.Support CMP Corporate with special projectsProvide guidance for issues as they arise for vendor managementManage lease schedulesPrepare management bonus schedulesManage the investor deal process and scenariosPerform other duties as needed or assignedWhat you have:Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to follow up and follow through on projectsWillingness to be proactive and take on additional responsibilitiesEffective working relationships with vendors, suppliers, co-workers, and supervisory personnelStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written skillsYour education and experience:A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA or Big 4 CPA preferred5 or more years of experience in residential home building, land, or construction is requiredWork experience in manufacturing operations or purchasing is a plusAdvanced excel skillsKnowledge of New Star and IBM TM1 is a plusAbout Century CommunitiesOur mission of A Home For Every Dream® is only possible with the best talent in the industry.
