Welcome!The Director of IT is responsible for leading the strategic oversight and operational management of IT operations, enterprise technology governance, procurement governance, and policy development across Service Experts. This role must provide end-to-end technical oversight across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, service delivery, and third-party providers, ensuring that technology decisions, priorities, and execution are aligned to business goals. The position is accountable for overall technical direction, cross-functional coordination, service quality, and operational performance across the enterprise.Key ResponsibilitiesIT Management and Operations:Accountable for day-to-day IT operations, including infrastructure, systems, applications, cybersecurity, issue escalation, service delivery and service qualityCoordinate and direct internal staff, external partners, and managed service resources to deliver integrated, business-aligned IT services.Lead the relationship with the existing managed services provider, including governance, performance management, service reviews, issue escalation, and coordination of provider-delivered resources, while retaining accountability for end-to-end IT outcomes across Service Experts.Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of business-critical systems and services, with visibility across both vendor-delivered and internally managed capabilitiesPartner with business leaders to prioritize technology initiatives, manage risk-based tradeoffs, and ensure IT services and investments support operational and strategic objectives.Establish and enforce enterprise technology standards, architectural principles, and operational governance across internally delivered and outsourced services.Lead IT security and risk management programsManage IT budgets, resources, and vendor relationships.Procurement Governance:Establish and maintain IT procurement policies, procedures, and best practicesOversee technology procurement processes from requisition to contract managementEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policiesManage supplier relationships and performance within the context of broader enterprise service delivery, technical standards, and operational accountabilityNegotiate contracts and service level agreementsEnsure outsourced services, contracts, and SLAs support Service Experts’ technical, operational, and business requirements across the full IT environmentImplement cost-saving initiatives and procurement optimization strategiesPolicy Management:Develop, review, and update IT and procurement policiesEnsure alignment of policies with industry standards and regulatory requirementsCommunicate policy changes and ensure organization-wide complianceEstablish governance frameworks for technology investmentsMonitor and report on policy adherence and effectivenessQualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.10+ years of experience in IT management and procurement5+ years of leadership experience managing teamsStrong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, applications, service management, cybersecurity, and operational governanceDemonstrated experience providing end-to-end technical oversight across multiple service domains, with accountability for service performance, risk management, and operational outcomesDemonstrated experience in procurement governance and contract managementKnowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standardsExceptional project management and organizational skillsAbility to translate business needs into technical priorities and oversee the implementation of successful initiatives, ensuring that service quality, risk, and technology delivery are properly managedPreferred SkillsProfessional certifications (ITIL, PMP, CIPS, or similar)Experience with ERP systems and procurement softwareFinancial management and budgeting experienceChange management experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesExperience in enterprise architecture, service integration, or multi-vendor operating environmentsAbility to lead cross-functional technical governance and drive accountability across complex IT ecosystemsMinimum Experience: 10+ yearsMinimum Education: Bachelor's DegreeService Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.The job description is not intended to be a complete list of all responsibilities, duties or skills required for the job and is subject to review and change at any time, with or without notice, in accordance with the needs of Service Experts.Service Experts is committed to making our workplace accessible to individuals with disabilities and will provide reasonable accommodations, upon request, for individuals to participate in the application and hiring process.
