Position Overview

Autodesk Consulting is seeking a talented and strong business focused Director of Consulting Delivery for our Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) team. Reporting to the Americas Geo lead for Technical Advisory and as a key member of the Americas Consulting Delivery leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the Americas AEC Consulting team and providing critical value to our most important customers in the AEC industry.

You must be truly passionate about driving transformational customer outcomes and building a high‑performing services team. The successful candidate is a natural leader who loves service delivery, has a talent for nurturing customer relationships, and is comfortable engaging across all levels of the customer organization. You bring a proven track record of exceptional skills and competencies in professional services delivery, collaboration (internally and externally), decision making, and the ability to position and deliver services with measurable results and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of over 40 employees responsible for Consulting Delivery and contribute to overall customer success and adoption.
  • Lead a team of Consulting Portfolio Owners responsible for achieving bookings and revenue targets aligned to our global objectives.
  • Accountable leader for financial forecasting, delivery quality, and customer satisfaction for the AEC team.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans that ensure the AEC delivery team meets organizational objectives, contributes to customer success, and maintains strong employee engagement.
  • Become a strategic business partner to Sales leadership teams by presenting ideas, leading discussions, and formulating solutions.
  • Build organizational alignment around long‑ and short‑term regional Consulting Delivery plans.
  • Leverage Consulting processes and best practices to ensure Autodesk customers are provided with solutions while ensuring the highest level of ROI for both parties.
  • Identify the technical, functional, and consulting skills required for the success of Autodesk Consulting services and collaborate with Human Resources to recruit individuals of the highest caliber.
  • Partner with the channel organization and outside vendors to develop a high‑quality "as needed" project talent pool.
  • Collaborate with other Autodesk Enterprise Customer Success leaders to ensure the highest level of professional services for all of Autodesk Enterprise Customer Success stakeholders worldwide.
  • Regularly interact with executives and/or major customers, negotiating with senior leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
  • Responsible for selection, mentoring, coaching, performance management and assessment, and rewards and recognition, including team‑building with others from other units who participate on projects.
  • Ensure proper performance management and rewards/recognition guidelines are followed within the team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience as a manager of managers, achieving booking and revenue targets for the Consulting business of a technology company, and a solid understanding of services business fundamentals, including utilization optimization, margin performance, and global delivery models.
  • Enthusiastic and creative leader with proven ability to inspire others.
  • Experience developing close working relationships with major account sales teams and other functional groups.
  • Ability to manage influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building.
  • Established track record of accountability and responsibility for deliverables in a professional services organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a culture of integrity while striving for excellent customer service.
  • Ability to respond strategically and diplomatically to the needs, concerns, issues, or ambiguity of customers.
  • Proven expertise in recruiting, training, developing, and inspiring diverse and highly accomplished professionals at both the manager and individual contributor level.
  • Influence at all levels of the customers' organizations, negotiating win‑win solutions, and ensuring customers are over‑satisfied with performance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Position may include up to 30% travel.

Salary

For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $141,000 and $252,890. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
