Field Organizer For Diana DeGette For CongressField Organizers are the operational core of the campaign. Each organizer owns a defined geographic area within the district, builds and manages a local volunteer team, and is accountable for hitting weekly voter contact and ballot return goals. This is a full-time, paid position running from hire date through Election Day, June 30, 2026.Core ResponsibilitiesVoter Contact and CanvassingExecute canvass shifts across an assigned geographic area, knocking doors and making phone contact with votersMeet weekly voter contact, ID, and persuasion goals as set by the Field DirectorAdapt contact strategy based on voter universe characteristics, including door, phone, and text contact as appropriateEnter all contact data into VAN same-day with accurate survey coding and complete disposition trackingConduct voter persuasion conversations and deliver candidate messaging clearly and effectively at the door and on the phoneVolunteer Recruitment and ManagementRecruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers within your assigned areaLead volunteer canvass shifts, phone banks, and other field activities on a regular weekly scheduleMaintain volunteer retention through consistent communication, clear expectations, and organized shift structureIdentify and develop high-capacity volunteers for leadership responsibilities within your teamTrack and report volunteer hours and activity to the Field Director on a weekly basisEarly Vote and Ballot ReturnTrack mail ballot and early vote activity for identified supporters using VAN and campaign tracking toolsConduct targeted ballot chase outreach to supporters who have not yet returned their ballotsStaff ballot drop-box visibility and voter assistance locations as assigned during the final weeks of the campaignExecute Election Day field operations within your assigned area from poll open through closeVisibility and Community PresenceCoordinate visibility efforts within your assigned areaBuild relationships with community members, neighborhood organizations, and local leaders to expand campaign presenceRepresent the campaign professionally at community events, tabling opportunities, and candidate appearances as neededServe as a consistent, trusted presence in your neighborhood on behalf of Congresswoman DeGetteReporting and AccountabilityParticipate in daily and weekly check-ins with the Field Director and campaign teamSubmit accurate field reports, VAN data, and volunteer activity summaries on scheduleFlag operational issues, resource gaps, and voter feedback to the Field Director promptlyManage campaign materials, sign inventory, and field supplies within assigned budget and reimbursement guidelinesQualificationsRequiredStrong interpersonal skills and genuine comfort talking with voters at the door and on the phoneAbility to self-manage, hit deadlines independently, and perform in a fast-moving campaign environmentReliable transportation and willingness to drive within an assigned area on a daily basisAvailability to work evenings and weekends as neededPreferredPrior experience in political field organizing, community organizing, or a comparable voter or constituent contact roleFamiliarity with VAN (Voter Activation Network) or demonstrated ability to learn data tools quicklyExperience managing or mentoring volunteers in a campaign or advocacy settingFamiliarity with Denver neighborhoods and the local Democratic political landscapeBilingual Spanish/English; candidates with Spanish fluency are strongly encouraged to applyPrior experience in a competitive Democratic primaryExperience with SMS and peer-to-peer texting platformsWhat to ExpectThis is a high-accountability role.

Canvassing in Denver from spring through late June means significant walking in variable weatherThe final stretch of the campaign shifts entirely to ballot return and voter mobilization. Expect an accelerated pace, longer hours, and a rapid operational tempo.You are a direct representative of Congresswoman DeGette in your community.
