Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings to maintain patients’ oral health.
- Conduct comprehensive periodontal assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
- Take and develop digital X-rays, utilizing modern imaging technology for precise diagnostics.
- Document patient information and treatment plans accurately in Open Dental Software.
- Assist with patient comfort and address any concerns or questions they may have.
- Collaborate with the dentist and other team members to provide optimal patient care.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in New York State.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, patient-focused attitude.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Proficient in using dental software and technology.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Preventive dental approach with a focus on the link between oral health and overall systemic wellness.
