L3 Data Center Technician

Location: Manassas, VA

Employment type: 12+ month contract

Pay rate: $35.00-$45.00/hour, the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Wednesday-Saturday 11:00 PM - 9:00 AM EST

Position Summary

The L3 Data Center Technician serves as an advanced technical resource supporting complex troubleshooting, liquid-cooled infrastructure, high-density compute environments, server escalations, and mission-critical operational support.

Responsibilities

Advanced Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot complex server and infrastructure issues.
• Perform root cause analysis.
• Resolve escalated operational incidents.
• Support outage restoration activities.

Liquid Cooling

• Support liquid-cooled server infrastructure.
• Work within CDU-supported environments.
• Identify cooling system anomalies.
• Support advanced cooling maintenance activities.

High-Density Compute

• Support GPU-intensive environments.
• Assist with large-scale hardware refreshes.
• Validate AI infrastructure deployments.
• Support infrastructure migrations.

Linux & Systems Support

• Utilize Linux command-line tools for troubleshooting.
• Review logs and system health indicators.
• Support firmware, BIOS, and hardware validation activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of data center experience.
• Advanced server troubleshooting experience.
• Strong Linux command-line experience.
• Fiber and copper infrastructure experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale deployments.

Preferred

• Liquid cooling experience.
• AI, HPC, or GPU infrastructure experience.
• Hyperscale experience.
• ServiceNow or Jira.
