Database Administrator (DBA)Open for relocation MinneapolisProject starts July 7 2024 for 1 yearInterviews last week in JuneDescription of ProjectSeeking a Database Administrator (DBA) who will be a member to the Infrastructure Team, will need to work closely with the Server System Engineers, and collaborate with Enterprise teams.The resource will help migrate to new versions of SQL and ensure the availability and optimization of the current MSSQL 2008 – 2022 databases. The resource may occasionally work with other database platforms such as Oracle. This position will need to have experience in ETL processes and have knowledge of Azure SQL Database and Managed Instances.Duties/TasksSupport SQL server applicationsSupporting SQL Server components, including SSIS and SSRSMaintaining and troubleshooting ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) processesPerforming SQL backups and Disaster RecoveryPerforming database migrations & upgradesWorking with Azure SQL technologiesDocumenting work and processesProvide mentorship to other DBAs on the teamProvide knowledge transferDesired SkillsExperience with SQL server applications and supporting components, including SSIS and SSRS.Experience maintaining and troubleshooting ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) processes.Experience in mentor IT staff and database designExperience in assessing and introducing new technologies to improve operation of database infrastructure.Experience as a lead worker in a team of subject matter experts of varying capacitiesExperience in Microsoft Azure SQL technologies.Experience with AlwaysOn and other High Availability SQL technologies
