Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable and reliable approaches to support or automate decision‑making throughout the business.
- Acquire data by building necessary SQL/ETL queries and importing processes through various company‑specific interfaces for Oracle, RedShift, and Spark storage systems.
- Build relationships with stakeholders and counterparts to understand requirements and validate solutions.
- Analyze data for trends and input validity by inspecting univariate distributions, exploring bivariate relationships, constructing appropriate transformations, and tracking the source and meaning of anomalies.
- Build models using statistical, mathematical, econometric, network, social network, natural language processing, machine learning, genetic, and neural‑network techniques.
- Validate models against alternative approaches, expected and observed outcomes, and business‑defined key performance indicators.
- Implement models that meet computational demands, accuracy, and reliability requirements across various stages of production.
Basic Qualifications
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and at least one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Alternative: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in the same fields with five years of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- At least one year of experience building statistical and machine‑learning models using large datasets from multiple resources.
- Experience writing SQL scripts for analysis and data migration.
- Proficiency with specialized modelling software including R, Python, or MATLAB.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle, RedShift, and Spark storage systems.
- Experience in designing ETL processes that are scalable and reliable.
- Experience validating models against key performance indicators and business outcomes.
- Knowledge of the AWS ecosystem and related data services.
