As the Product Manager for Data Access, Privacy, and Governance, you will serve as the critical bridge between engineering, business units, and the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) to ensure our data products are secure, compliant, and highly performant.

This role requires a strong technical background and demonstrated experience in data platform product management, identity and access management (IAM), privacy governance, and cloud-native architectures.Responsibilities include the end-to-end ownership of product strategy, requirements authoring, and agile delivery execution, from regulatory mandate through production release, working within mixed-skill teams and in close partnership with engineers, legal counsel, privacy officers, and senior business stakeholders. By leveraging deep technical familiarity and a compliance-first product mindset, you will drive scalable platform capabilities that protect Ford's data assets, enable seamless access provisioning, and deliver measurable business value at scale.We recognize that no one person will embody every single quality or skill listed below. If you are passionate about data governance and have a strong foundation in product management and cloud-native platform delivery, we encourage you to apply.Education:Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, information technology or a technology related fieldMaster's degree in a related field is a strong plusExperience:5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Technical Program Manager managing data platforms, identity and access management (IAM), or privacy and governance productsProven experience designing and executing end-to-end cloud migration strategies, or leading large-scale user and service account migrations with minimal business disruptionDemonstrated problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate complex technical and regulatory concepts effectively to diverse stakeholder audiencesAbility to work independently and as part of a cross-functional, globally distributed teamRequired Technical Experience:Prior technical experience working with microservice API architectures and integrations, with the ability to read API documentation and participate deeply in technical system design discussionsHands-on experience or strong familiarity with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem, including BigQuery, Cloud IAM, Cloud DLP, or Google Cloud StorageProven track record of running Agile ceremonies, leading Scrums and Scrum of Scrums, and managing delivery timelines across distributed teamsExperience working within highly regulated environments, partnering closely with legal (OGC), compliance, or risk management teamsExceptional ability to write clear, structured, and detailed BRDs and PRDs that translate regulatory and business needs into actionable engineering requirementsOutstanding oral presentation, storytelling, and slide-building skills, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders without direct authorityPreferred Experience:Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), PIPM, or equivalent Agile certificationsStrong SQL knowledge, alongside familiarity with data governance tools such as OneTrust or CollibraExperience with data visualization tools such as Looker or Power BIFamiliarity with automated consent frameworks, data classification, and privacy-by-design principles in cloud-native environmentsYou may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice.
