Data Entry Clerk (Temp position)

Temporary Electronic Health Records TechSeattle Radiology is a Radia Imaging Center, located near downtown Seattle in the Nordstrom Tower. Our facility is open Monday-Friday. We're seeking a temporary Electronic Health Records Tech. This is a three-month project working within electronic health systems, must have the ability to multi-task, high accuracy and attention to detail.

The position will be full time for approximately three months. Seattle Radiology is located on a narrow strip of land between the salt waters of the Puget Sound and the fresh waters of Lake Washington. Seattle is known for its bustling waterfront, lush evergreen forests and the picturesque backdrop of the San Juan Islands. Just beyond the water are two rugged mountain ranges, the Olympics to the west and the cascades to the east.Position: This position is located on-site, at Seattle Radiology.Compensation:Hourly salary range $21.41 - $30.34.

Salary is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and employment status.Includes free onsite parkingResponsibilities:Attention to detail in processing data and moving records within an electronic health record systemProcesses all incoming and outgoing mail, distributes to appropriate departmentsProcesses all Attorney requests accurately and timely, making sure we have all necessary documentation before releasing recordsDistributes patient medical information to patients and outside medical facilities, once appropriate documentation is provided, following the HIPPA laws. Properly documents destination of each requestMerge Patient accounts as applicableResolves all problems/issues with reports and distribution in a timely mannerProcesses all outside reads and outside read consults in a timely mannerCommunicates in person and over the phone in a helpful and courteous mannerSupport Patient Portal inquiries and chart verificationScan, digitize, and merge all films for physician reading. Ensure all patient information is correctly entered into system. Purge old films in compliance with the federal law.Follows all HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentialityFacilitate conference preparation, load images to dashboard and / or laptopPerforms a variety of clerical functions that support the overall Imaging CenterAbility to provide excellent in person and phone service, to a high volume of patientsAccurately enters patient information in a timely mannerEnsures the accuracy of patient demographic information, scheduling information and insurance/authorization informationPositively provides medical reception to patients following provided guidelinesAbility to meet performance metrics, with a focus on quality, accuracy, and timelinessAbility to de-escalate conflict situations and or knows when to engage assistance from department supervisorPrior Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required1 year experience in processing medical recordsAbility to proficiently enter data from one system to anotherAbility to multi-task working within multiple systemAttention to detailMust be proficient with MS Office SuiteMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
