Data Engineer Opportunity At TarroTarro is seeking a Data Engineer to help build and scale our data infrastructure as we continue to expand our product portfolio and customer base. You'll play a foundational role in shaping how data is collected, modeled, validated, and consumed across the company. This is a high-impact opportunity to work in a fast-paced, profitable startup where you'll have real ownership, move quickly, and see your work directly influence product and business outcomes.Your responsibilities will include:Building and evolving Tarro's core data infrastructure and foundational datasetsDesigning, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that support analytics, machine learning, experimentation, and product use casesEnsuring data quality and reliability by implementing audits, alerting, and anomaly detection at scalePartnering closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver trusted, actionable dataContributing to shared data engineering tooling, standards, and best practices to improve team productivity and output qualityHelping establish long-term data architecture that scales with Tarro's growthIdeal candidates will have:5+ years of experience building and operating production-grade data pipelinesA strong understanding of scalable, performant data modeling patterns across structured and unstructured data sourcesProven ability to work cross-functionally to design data architectures that support analytics, machine learning, and experimentationExperience building and operating fault-tolerant, distributed systemsHands-on experience working in a cloud environment such as AWS or GCPA self-starter who thrives in an environment with high ownership, limited process, and lots of autonomyA deep care for building reliable systems that solve real customer and business problemsBonus points for:Experience in a consumer driven industry with a passion for the customerA BS / MS / PhD in Computer Science or a related fieldExperience with analytics and BI tools such as Looker or TableauPrior experience building data platforms or products from 0 to 1 in an ambiguous, fast-moving environmentA roll up your sleeves mentality with current or prior experience working in a fast paced, collaborative, highly ambiguous environment frequently wearing more than one hatIf you do not meet all the requirements listed above which candidates rarely do, don't worry.
