Overview
HDR is seeking a project manager focused on client development and delivery of data center projects. The ideal candidate has proven experience delivering data center and mission-critical projects from upfront planning and pre-design through detail design, construction support, and commissioning. This role involves managing multi-disciplinary design teams and developing and securing work from HDR's global client base, with some travel to client sites or HDR offices required.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on development strategies, new business prospects, technical services, quality, and production methods and standards to achieve the goals of the business group, region, and company.
- Manage and lead project teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Travel to project sites (10-20%), including international travel as needed.
- Flexible work schedule to accommodate international project support.
- Control project budget, scope, and schedule.
- Ensure product deliverables meet quality standards.
- Forecasting, invoicing, and contract management.
- Promote HDR through regular client interface.
- Engage in mission-critical staff recruiting in collaboration with the Business Group Manager.
- Create essential proposal content including scope, schedule, and budget.
- Lead HDR presentations at interview events.
- Work cooperatively with local office leads, other business group leads, technical directors, and marketing managers.
- Other technical or managerial tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or related field.
- 7 years of related data center experience.
- A minimum of 2 years project management experience.
- MS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience is a plus).
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
