My client is looking for a hands‑on Power BI professional with deep experience working directly with the D365 F&O data model. The ideal candidate understands both the functional structure of D365 (Finance and/or Supply Chain) and modern Power BI data modeling best practices.
This individual will work closely with Finance, Supply Chain, and IT stakeholders to design scalable, high‑performance reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports leveraging D365 F&O data
- Build optimized semantic data models aligned with financial dimensions and operational structures
- Extract and transform D365 data using Data Entities, OData, BYOD, or Azure Data Lake
- Develop complex DAX measures to support financial and operational KPIs
- Reconcile Power BI outputs to D365 transactional data to ensure integrity and accuracy
- Implement row‑level security aligned with D365 security roles
- Optimize report performance and refresh schedules
- Support executive reporting, month‑end close analytics, and operational dashboards
Required Experience
- Strong Power BI development background (5+ years preferred)
- Direct experience working with D365 F&O data models (3+ years preferred)
- Deep understanding of financial dimensions and chart of accounts
- Deep understanding of subledger‑to‑GL relationships
- Deep understanding of inventory and supply chain transactions
- Advanced proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling (star schema design)
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience supporting Finance and/or Operations stakeholders
