Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) to lead end-to-end solution design and provide techno-functional architecture and advisory support for a large-scale ERP transformation program.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of functional consulting experience , with deep expertise in D365 F&O , strong cross-module knowledge, and the ability to bridge business requirements with technical architecture and integration strategy.

This role will work across multiple D365 F&O functional areas, partnering with business stakeholders, functional consultants, technical teams, and integration teams to design scalable and sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture and design for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable D365 F&O solutions.
• Provide functional and technical bridging between business stakeholders, functional consultants, developers, integration teams, and other technical resources.
• Define solution architecture, integration approaches, data flows, and system interfaces.
• Develop and guide integration strategies between D365 F&O and external applications and enterprise systems.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate APIs, integration frameworks, middleware, and Azure services.
• Provide architecture guidance for D365 F&O operating within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem .
• Work across multiple D365 F&O modules and ensure solutions are aligned across functional areas.
• Partner with Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and other business teams to understand requirements and design effective ERP solutions.
• Provide techno-functional advisory and consulting throughout the ERP transformation lifecycle.
• Review proposed solutions and ensure they align with enterprise architecture, scalability, maintainability, security, and performance standards.
• Collaborate with technical architects and development teams to ensure functional requirements are appropriately translated into technical solutions.
• Support design reviews, implementation planning, testing, deployment, and solution governance.
• Communicate complex functional and technical concepts clearly to both business and technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of functional consulting experience with ERP/Dynamics solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) .
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Functional Architect, Enterprise Architect, or senior D365 F&O architect/consultant .
• Strong experience in end-to-end solution design and architecture .
• Demonstrated ability to bridge functional requirements and technical architecture .
• Strong understanding of integration strategy and integration architecture .
• Experience working with D365 F&O within the Azure ecosystem .
• Knowledge of Azure services, APIs, Dataverse, and integration frameworks .
• Broad cross-module understanding of D365 F&O rather than expertise limited to a single functional module.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Finance and Manufacturing domains.
• Experience supporting large-scale ERP transformation programs .
• Experience across multiple D365 F&O modules such as Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing, Production, Sales, or related areas.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure integration services, Dataverse, APIs, middleware, or related integration technologies.
• Experience providing advisory/consulting services to US-based clients .
• Previous experience with Dynamics AX / AX 2012 followed by D365 F&O is a plus.

We are specifically seeking a techno-functional D365 F&O architect , not a purely technical architect or developer.

The ideal candidate combines:

D365 F&O Functional Expertise + Cross-Module Knowledge + Solution Architecture + Integration Strategy + Azure Ecosystem + Strong Client Advisory Skills

Candidates who have primarily worked as X++ developers or pure technical architects without strong D365 F&O functional consulting and solution-design experience may not be a fit.
