Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs.
Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process. To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.Your day-to-day work will also include:Maneuvering equipment and patients Providing basic patient care Submitting accurate and timely imaging, patient history documentation, and case chargesSupporting the department's initiatives related to patient and employee satisfactionPerforming a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity in order to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosisBeing accountable for keeping your skills current and continuing your own professional development and education (including attending department meetings and learning from radiologists as well as staying informed about CHI Franciscan standards, protocols and procedures relating to the CT function)Performing quality assurance audits and activities as well as incidental office duties as needed to ensure timely and complete patient records as well as a highly functioning department and teamJob RequirementsRequiredGraduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, (including course work in cross-sectional anatomy and/or demonstrated skill/knowledge in cross-sectional anatomy), upon hire andOne year of work experience in the senior level of the core job family orany combination of experience or education that would demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the positionRegistered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire andBasic Life Support - CPR, upon hire andMedical Radiographer: WA, upon hirePreferredOne year of work experience as a CT Technologist
