CT Technologist - Radiology Rockville, MDPay From: $50 per hourMUST:The CT Technologist must have experience:Must have 1 year of experienceMust have BLS, AART National certification with registration in computed tomography, and state-specific licensing when requiredCT Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficultyCT Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminologyPrevious experience with GE or Siemens scanners preferredEpic experience preferredDUTIES:Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as requiredCorrectly interpret doctors' written instructionsAppropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodiesUse computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissuesAdminister radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissuesEvaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical qualityFollow safety procedures when working with radiationMaintain accurate patient recordsUnderstand and use the McKesson PACS systemQuadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
