CT Technologist PositionPosition Status: Part timeShift: Second Shift (Evenings - Less than 12 hours per shift) (United States of America)Hours per week: 20Job Information Exemption Status: Non-ExemptA Brief OverviewThe CT Technologist is responsible for providing courteous and professional delivery of CT technical procedures/exams to all incoming patients, operating radiologic equipment, and for all paperwork associated with technical procedures.Experience Qualifications1 year CT Experience. (Required proficiency)Licenses and CertificationsRadiography - ARRT RequiredLicensed Radiology Technologist (LRT) - KSBHA RequiredAdvanced Registry in CT is preferred.Basic Life Support - BLS Required within 90 days of hire.What You Will DoPerform diagnostic computed tomography procedures utilizing a pressure injector and administering contrast under supervision.Prepares and positions patient for diagnostic computed tomography procedures. Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician.Determines exposure factors on basis of height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of penetration required, and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy.Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.Performs routine maintenance, diagnoses malfunctions, and makes minor repairs on radiologic equipment, arranging for repairs as needed.
