CT Technologist, Per Diem Weekend Evening Shift, Radiology

CT TechnologistShady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced CT Technologist for our CT Department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a CT Technologist you will:Perform CT examinations in accordance with the protocols established by the radiologists.Demonstrate proficiency in operating CT-scanner and all ancillary equipment within CT department.Assist radiologist and other staff in interventional procedures.Understand principles and dangers involved in the administration of oral and intravenous contrast.Identify contraindications to IV contrast administration and recognizes symptoms of IV contrast reactions.Properly identifies patients, reviews orders and selects scanning protocols in order to maximize quality and safe patient care in CT.Accurately perform documentation in all computer systems within CT and Imaging Services pertinent to CT scanning (HIS, RIS, PACS, Telelradiography, image reformatting).Maximize patient throughput and demonstrates teamwork with coworkers by managing large patient volume including the transport of patients to and/or from CT as necessary.Provide general patient care as necessary within the CT department.Assist in orienting and training of new employees and students.Qualifications include:High school or GEDGraduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Radiography1 year CT experience preferredState of Maryland Radiation Technologist license, ARRT (CT)Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification requiredWork Schedule:Employment Type: Per DiemHours per Week: 8 hrs/weekTypical Daily Schedule: Every Other Saturday and Sunday: 3pm-1130pmShift Type: EveningWeekend Requirements: Required every other weekend rotationHoliday Requirements: Required/Follow company holiday calendarOn-Call: Yes (1 shift per month) (As needed)Shift Differential Eligible: YesThis is a per diem position with a rate of $55/hourPay Range:If the salary range is not displayed or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:United States of America (Non-Exempt)At Adventist HealthCare our job is to care for you.We do this by offering:Work life balance through nonrotating shiftsRecognition and rewards for professional expertise403(b) retirement planFree Employee parkingEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) supportAs a faith-based organization, with over a century of caring for the communities in the Maryland area, Adventist HealthCare has earned a reputation for high-quality, compassionate care.
