Education Requirement
- Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Experience
- 1-2 years of experience working as a CT Technologist, or
- Successful completion of a CT externship through an approved CT school
License/Certifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (RT.R.ARRT) certification in Radiography required.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (RT.CT.ARRT) certification in Computed Tomography required.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with hospital personnel, patients, co-workers, and the public.
- Required to perform venipuncture for injections and IV management for power injector use.
- Knowledge of other modalities or willingness to gain knowledge of other modalities as requested for potential cross-training opportunities.
- Proficient with working with patients of all ages (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adult and elderly).
- Ability to perform numerous tasks at once, prioritize workload and organize workflow.
- Follow established Universal Standard and Radiation Safety precautions.
- Position requires flexibility to accommodate fluctuation in daily schedule, including overtime, irregular hours and on-call responsibilities.
