Education Requirement

  • Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience working as a CT Technologist, or
  • Successful completion of a CT externship through an approved CT school

License/Certifications

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (RT.R.ARRT) certification in Radiography required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (RT.CT.ARRT) certification in Computed Tomography required.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with hospital personnel, patients, co-workers, and the public.
  • Required to perform venipuncture for injections and IV management for power injector use.
  • Knowledge of other modalities or willingness to gain knowledge of other modalities as requested for potential cross-training opportunities.
  • Proficient with working with patients of all ages (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adult and elderly).
  • Ability to perform numerous tasks at once, prioritize workload and organize workflow.
  • Follow established Universal Standard and Radiation Safety precautions.
  • Position requires flexibility to accommodate fluctuation in daily schedule, including overtime, irregular hours and on-call responsibilities.
