- Set and steward PopSockets’ visual identity and creative direction across digital, physical, packaging, retail, and campaign channels
- Lead seasonal creative concepts, campaign frameworks, and brand campaigns from brief through execution
- Maintain a consistent brand point of view while advancing creative ambition
- Partner with copywriting and brand voice leads to unify visual and verbal expression
- Serve as the primary US-side creative lead and day-to-day relationship manager for PopSockets’ in-house China design studio
- Establish creative briefs, feedback frameworks, and quality standards for the China studio
- Travel regularly to China to build relationships, align priorities, and maintain creative continuity
- Collaborate with product and supply chain teams on design studio workflows
- Lead, mentor, and grow the US-based creative team
- Build creative processes and workflows that preserve quality while enabling speed
- Foster a culture of curiosity, constructive feedback, and accountability
- Partner with recruiting to grow the team
- Lead packaging design direction across the US, China, and international markets
- Own virtual merchandising strategy across PopSockets.com, Amazon, and major wholesale platforms globally
- Develop market-adapted packaging and digital shelf assets with the China studio
- Collaborate with product, sales, and e-commerce teams to support sell-through and brand presentation
- Establish scalable asset systems and templates for regional teams and retail partners
- Act as a strategic creative partner to marketing, product, and sales
- Contribute to go-to-market planning for product launches, seasonal moments, and brand initiatives
- Present creative work and strategic rationale to senior stakeholders and external partners
- Report to the VP of Global Brand & Marketing and work with the founder, product, marketing, sales, and executive leadership
Requirements
- 10+ years of creative experience, with at least 3 years in a Creative Director or senior creative leadership role
- Ability to operate at both the strategic and executional level, including writing creative briefs and redlining layouts
- Hands-on experience with packaging design and virtual merchandising
- Portfolio demonstrating strong visual craft and conceptual thinking across brand identity, campaigns, packaging, and digital consumer products or lifestyle brand experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience managing creative teams or studios across international locations; China experience is a significant advantage
- Cultural fluency and genuine comfort working with Chinese design partners; Mandarin proficiency is a plus but not required
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Familiarity with multi-market packaging requirements and adapting creative for different regional standards
- Experience in a fast-paced, product-driven brand environment
- Willingness to travel internationally; regular trips to China are a firm expectation
