Cost Control EngineerOHLA USA is seeking a Cost Control Engineer to support our high-profile infrastructure project. This role is critical in managing project cost controls, forecasting, and financial performance on complex heavy civil and marine construction projects.The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, experience in infrastructure or marine construction, and the ability to collaborate across project teams to ensure cost efficiency and accuracy.Responsibilities:Develop, maintain, and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost reportsTrack and analyze actual costs vs. planned budgets, identifying variances and risksSupport monthly cost reporting, including earned value analysis and projectionsCoordinate with field engineers and superintendents to validate quantity measurements and production ratesReview and validate subcontractor pay applications, change orders, and invoicesAssist in change management processes, including pricing and cost impact analysisSupport estimating efforts including quantity takeoffs, bid pricing, and cost benchmarking for change orders and potential scope changes.Track, verify and maintain accurate cost tracking systems and documentationParticipate in project meetings to provide financial insights and updatesSupport procurement and contract administration as neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field3 –5+ years of experience in cost engineering, project controls, or construction financeExperience in heavy civil, transportation, marine, or infrastructure projects strongly preferredProficiency in Excel (advanced level required)Experience with cost control systems (e.g., Primavera P6, HCSS, Procore) is a plusStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, field-driven environmentPreferred Experience:Experience with construction estimating, quantity takeoffs, and bid preparationExperience working on marine/port, bridge, or large-scale infrastructure projectsFamiliarity with FDOT or similar public agency projectsUnderstanding of earned value management (EVM) principlesAdditional Benefits offered by OHLA USA:Medical, Dental, & Vision InsuranceShort- and Long-Term Disability & Life Insurance401(k) retirement plan with employer matchingTuition Reimbursement after 1 year of employmentPersonal Time Off Program (PTO)Engaging work environmentAnd much more!!
