Cost AccountantThe Cost Accountant is to proactively participate in the Finance Department's daily production review and analysis of all costs for the manufacturing site, directly reporting to the Senior Manager Finance.
The role includes:Leading and monitoring the work order closure processPerforming all cost accounting responsibilities for month-end closeReviewing and entering daily production and consumption recordsPerforming finance verification of monthly raw material, WIP, and finished good inventory cycle countsAuditing and maintaining cycle count documentation from all cycle counts, ensuring its accuracy and completenessMonitoring inventory and facilitating the paperwork approval, tracking, and filing process to maintain accuracyAnalyzing data for discrepancies in manufactured product costs, by reviewing the manufacturing variances and identifying any discrepancies in routings or bills of materialsPerforming roll of standard costs and ensuring all active raw materials and intermediate items have accurate standard costsEnsuring integrity of standard costs and item attributes that impact costing or standard accounting flowsAssisting in annual budget process with standard cost rate developmentPerforming other monthly and quarterly financial reports as necessaryOther duties as assignedThe candidate should have:3 to 5 years' experience in Cost Accounting or ManufacturingBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field of studyAdvanced proficiency with various ERP systems, Sage or JDE preferredAdvanced PC skills, including advanced spreadsheet functions (e.g. Pivot Tables, Lookups, Formulas)Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 poundsEEO Employer LanceSoft is a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and an equal opportunity employer.
