Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Corporate Associate / Senior Associate with expertise in investment management, private funds, and family offices to join their Miami office. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in representing investment managers and sponsors in the formation and operation of various private funds.

Duties

• Represent investment managers in forming and operating private funds.
• Draft and negotiate investment management and fund-related documents.
• Advise on regulatory and compliance matters.
• Structure and document family office investments and services.
• Negotiate and document direct investments and co-investment transactions.
• Manage sophisticated legal matters and client relationships.
• Supervise junior attorneys and collaborate with clients.

Requirements

• Minimum of six years of experience in investment management and private fund formation.
• Substantial experience in drafting and negotiating complex documents.
• Ability to manage matters independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Experience in supervising and mentoring junior attorneys.
• Excellent communication and client-service skills.
• Bar admission in good standing in the practicing jurisdiction.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
