Data Network EngineerConfigure, repair, and maintain the company's entire data network infrastructure. Ensure proper operation and system uptime.Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following. Other Duties May Be Assigned.Install, configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot company's MPLS network, switches, routers, network access devices and other related systems.Effectively handle Service Orders and Trouble Tickets according to standards and procedures.Assist field and NOC technicians with installations, troubleshooting and repairs.Troubleshoot MPLS, IP, and Data network problems quickly and help provide sound engineering solutions by maintaining deep knowledge of Data Network architecture, topology, and up-to-date configuration details.Collaborate with vendor-partner technical support groups to resolve complex problems.Monitor, analyze and troubleshoot Network to ensure performance and stability.Recommend improvements to network and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure network stability and uptime.Work a rotation of 24hr On-call shift.Performs all other duties as required.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

A strong aptitude for hands-on application of a broad variety of tools and instruments.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge in Networking, MPLS (L2-L3 VPN), Ethernet, OSPF, BGP, maintenance and configuration.Knowledge in core routers switches and firewalls.Knowledge in configuring and troubleshooting IP/MPLS systems and protocols such as RSVP, LDP, VPLS, VRF and other network related protocols.Skills in configuration and maintenance of networks such as MPLS (L2-L3 VPN), Ethernet, GPON, PPPoE, OSPF, BGP and other routing protocols.Working knowledge with troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, OTDR, SNMP and others.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
