Seeking a Controller to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, cash flow, budgeting, and internal controls for a construction-related business. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial management.

Experience: Director

Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per year

Responsibilities:

• Oversee cash management, fixed assets, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
• Ensure accurate financial records and maintain accounting policies and internal controls
• Prepare monthly financial statements and present results to management
• Maintain and review work-in-progress (WIP) schedules at month-end
• Develop, monitor, and communicate monthly and annual operating budgets
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, billing, and collections
• Complete required federal and state regulatory filings and reports
• Lead accounting personnel, including hiring, performance evaluations, discipline, and termination decisions
• Perform additional duties as assigned by senior finance leadership

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of direct experience as a Financial Controller
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience with a construction company
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and financial analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification
• Master's degree in a related field
• Viewpoint Vista
