In this multifaceted role, you will drive contract management excellence. You will have the skills to conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and work directly with colleagues and customers on a variety of contracts. You will provide for proper contract fulfillment in accordance with company policies and objectives, legal requirements, and customer expectations.
Your expertise will be instrumental in continuing to shape the contracts landscape, fostering collaboration, and optimizing contractual processes to protect the company's interests and enhance overall efficiency.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Drives implementation of strategic contract opportunities with the most significant impact on the corporation and assessing and reducing risk of exposureApproves and implements new and revised contract policy and processAn understanding of the construction industryManaging contracts and services in accordance with company policiesDrafting, evaluating, negotiating and executing the terms and conditions in various contracts covering sales, lease and large rental projectsAssisting in the preparation of various contractsWorking with customers on business mattersReviewing RFPs, RFQs, Bids, etc. and preparing submittals for eachMaintaining contractual documentsResearch and respond to project notices for major projectsProblem-solving contract-related issuesAdministrate company's bonding program; order bid, payment/performance as required and other special bonds as may be necessaryCheck to make sure customers are credit worthyReview changes to company standard formsWorks with outside legal counsel as neededMaintain excellent working relationships with customersAssist as necessary with insurance renewals and special insurance certificatesProvides guidance and leadership to cross-functional business team membersMay occasionally lead complex negotiationsUnderstands the business and has an appreciation of financial/analytical issues and profit and loss implicationsIdentify opportunities to improve business processes and devise plans to implement these changes.Supervisory Responsibilities:No formal supervisory role at the present time.Education and Experience Suggested:Bachelor's DegreeParalegal Certification5+ years of business experience,Construction industry experience preferredAdvanced contract and technical knowledge (preferably 5+ years)Experience with building leases preferredExcellent presentation, teambuilding, and leadership skillsA global perspective of the business environment and technologyRequired Skills/Competencies/Qualifications:Demonstrated conduct that is in alignment with our Core ValuesSelf-drivenCustomer/client focusedPersonal effectiveness/credibilityStrong written, organizational, interpersonal, and verbal communication skillsExcellent problem-solving, time management, and leadership skillsHighly developed attention to detail with an ability to spot errors and potential risksProficiency in MS Office SuiteEthicalProject ManagementDemonstrated ability to work with a teamFlexibilityAbility to deal effectively with confidential informationAbility to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers and external partnersAbility to prioritize workload and meet deadlinesAbility to work well under pressure and to balance competing demandsAbility to work productively and independentlyPhysical/Mental Demands:Position requires a high degree of concentration to manage frequent interruptions while meeting strict deadlines.
