Compressor Operator

Job Summary: Oversees the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of gas compression systems across a regional production area. Coordinates contractor activities, ensures safety compliance, and supports troubleshooting, reporting, and training efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily compressor and facility operations.
- Troubleshoot field issues on-site and through remote monitoring.
- Schedule and coordinate compressor repairs.
- Maintain accurate downtime and extended-outage reporting.
Field Oversight and Compliance:
- Supervise 10–30 contractors and ensure work is completed safely and on schedule.
- Audit JSAs and contractor compliance with company safety policies.
- Conduct inspections, purging, and LDAR activities.
- Use work platforms to create and assign vendor work requests.
Training and Collaboration:
- Interact daily with foremen, operators, mechanics, and contractors.
- Support tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
- Compressor operations, diagnostics, and facility maintenance experience preferred.
- Familiarity with remote-monitoring platforms and reporting systems preferred.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills.
- Safety-focused, proactive, and detail-oriented.
