You don't have to be a counselor, advocate, or expert to help someone find the right support. Sometimes, you just need to know where to point them.
Survivor Truth Foundation is building a Community Amplifier Network. Do you thrive in a small, trusted network of people? Can you help make sure the right information reaches the right person?
STF provides direct crisis and recovery support through Ground Truth and conducts survivor-centered research and investigative documentation through The Survivor Record . Our work exists for people navigating domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, coercive control, narcissistic abuse, and related trauma. Founded on the belief that you can be the person you needed most, in someone else's time of need.
What does a Community Amplifier do?
You don't work for STF in a traditional volunteer capacity. You become an informed, trusted connection between STF and the communities you already belong to.
You might:
- Share STF resources when someone in your network is looking for help.
- Share approved STF information in relevant Facebook groups, online communities, Discord servers, newsletters, resource lists, or other spaces where it is appropriate.
- Encourage shelters, therapists, advocates, schools, organizations, and other community resources to include STF in their referral or resource lists.
- Introduce STF to people or organizations that could benefit from knowing about our work.
- Connect STF with advocates, professionals, podcasters, organizers, community leaders, or others who have meaningful reach.
- Share STF when it is genuinely relevant, not by constantly promoting it.
- Help someone who wants to support STF find the appropriate way to do so.
This is about connection, not promotion for promotion's sake. We want STF information showing up where it is useful, when it is useful, from people who understand why it matters.
Choose how you want to contribute
Community Amplifiers can participate in one or more areas:
GROWTH — Share & Connect
Help people discover STF through referrals, introductions, resource lists, and community connections.
REVENUE & LEADS — Ask or Point Us There
If you have a network that may want to support STF financially, you can share an opportunity to give or simply identify a potential donor or funding connection and point STF toward it.
There is never a requirement to ask your personal network for money. If fundraising isn't your thing, choose Growth. If you know someone who may be interested in supporting the work, you can make the connection and let STF handle the rest.
What you are NOT expected to do
Community Amplifiers do not provide counseling, crisis intervention, legal advice, investigative services, or direct survivor advocacy.
You will not be expected to collect survivor stories, evidence, identifying information, or confidential details.
You will not promise someone that STF can accept their situation, provide a particular service, or achieve a particular outcome.
Your role is simple: know what STF does, recognize when it may be relevant, and know where to send someone for accurate information.
You will receive approved materials and information to help you communicate about STF accurately and responsibly, along with onboarding.
Who we're looking for:
You don't need a particular degree, professional credential, or nonprofit background.
You might be a survivor who wants to help others find resources. You might work in a professional field that regularly intersects with survivors. You might run an online community, participate in advocacy work, have a large social network, organize events, create content, work with a local organization, or simply be someone your friends turn to when they need information.
What matters most is that you are trustworthy, responsible, willing to learn, and connected to people or communities you can reach.
This is a flexible, remote volunteer opportunity.

If you've ever thought, "I wish more people knew this resource existed," this may be your opportunity to help change that.
Join the Community Amplifier Network and help make sure survivor support, information, and a record of survivor experiences are easier to find.

Inclusivity
Survivors do not come from one background, and neither should the people who stand beside them. Survivor Truth Foundation welcomes volunteers of all races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, ages, abilities, socioeconomic backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences. We are committed to creating a respectful, survivor-centered environment where differences are valued and every person is treated with dignity. You do not need to share a survivor’s experience to support them. You do need empathy, curiosity, humility, and a willingness to listen without judgment.
