Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

Litigation AssociateDirect Counsel is seeking a Litigation Associate to join a growing commercial litigation practice in Wilmington. This is an outstanding opportunity for a high-performing attorney looking to handle sophisticated business disputes and gain exposure to some of the most significant corporate and commercial litigation matters in the country.The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of commercial litigation experience and a strong background litigating matters before Delaware's premier business courts.ResponsibilitiesHandle all phases of complex commercial litigation matters from inception through resolutionConduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, memoranda, pleadings, and other litigation-related filingsManage discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparationDevelop litigation strategy and analyze complex legal and factual issuesWork directly with clients on case management, risk assessment, and dispute resolutionCollaborate with attorneys across litigation teams on sophisticated commercial disputesRepresent clients in Delaware state courts and other litigation forums as neededQualifications3–5 years of commercial litigation experienceExperience handling complex commercial disputes in a law firm settingDemonstrated litigation experience before the Delaware Court of Chancery and/or the Complex Commercial Litigation Division of the Delaware Superior CourtSuperior legal research, writing, and analytical skillsExcellent communication and client management abilitiesStrong academic credentialsProven ability to manage sophisticated litigation matters in a fast-paced environmentActive Delaware Bar admission requiredCompensation & BenefitsBase salary range: $205,000 – $225,0004x4 Hybrid Model (in-office Wednesdays plus four additional in-office days per month)Collaborative and supportive team environmentSophisticated commercial litigation matters and direct client interactionStrong mentorship and professional development opportunitiesDirect Counsel is committed to connecting exceptional legal talent with premier law firms and fostering inclusive hiring practices.
