CNC ProgrammerOur client, an Ecommerce company (Fortune 500), is looking to hire a CNC Programmer in Seattle WA. (Onsite) Pay Rate Range: $50 to $55/hr on w2 (depends on exp)Responsibilities: About the Role Client seeks a CNC Programmer to create CNC programs for precision machined parts using Mastercam and other CAM software. You will translate customer designs into optimized manufacturing programs, simulate NC files, design fixture tooling, and support machine setup and operation.

This role requires strong technical knowledge of CNC programming, machining processes, and the ability to balance programming quality with throughput demands to meet production schedules.Key ResponsibilitiesCNC Programming OperationsUse Mastercam to program CNC parts for 3-axis and 5-axis CNC millsCreate optimized tool paths and machining strategies for complex partsSimulate NC files inside of Vericut to verify programs before productionMaintain revision control on programs and setup sheetsGenerate setup sheets and work instructions for machine operatorsTroubleshoot programming issues and make real-time adjustmentsTechnical Analysis and OptimizationReview customer drawings and specifications to determine optimal machining approachMake or offer suggestions on drawing changes to improve manufacturabilityOptimize cutting parameters, tool selection, and machining sequences to reduce cycle timeKnowledgeable of carbide tools and adjusting speed and feed parameters for maximum tool lifeEvaluate trade-offs between programming complexity, cycle time, and tool lifeDevelop and maintain programming standards and best practicesFixture Design and ToolingDesign and machine efficient fixture tooling for production runsCreate custom work-holding solutions for complex partsOptimize fixture designs to minimize setup time and maximize accessibilityCollaborate with CNC Setup Machinists on fixture implementationMachine Setup and OperationPerform machine setup and operation as neededAbility to set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC millsVerify programs through first article runs and make necessary adjustmentsSupport CNC operators and setup machinists with technical guidanceCapacity Management and ProductivityManage programming workload to meet production schedulesMeet expectations for productivity and production goalsConstantly keep products moving and alert management when production is inhibitedCommunicate programming capacity and lead times to Application Engineers and manufacturing managersPrioritize programming tasks based on customer commitments and production needsProcess ImprovementProvide consistent ideas for process improvementsIdentify opportunities to streamline programming processes and reduce bottlenecksOptimize programming workflows to maximize throughputShare best practices and technical knowledge with programming teamDigital File ManagementKeep digital archives organized and maintain proper file structureMaintain version control on programs and documentationEnsure proper backup and archival of programming filesOrganize programs for easy retrieval and reuseQualifications RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate8+ years of CNC programming experience (including Mastercam)Ability to set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC millsStrong knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, and speeds and feedsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&TExcellent communication skillsCan keep digital archives organizedAbility to lift 25 lbs. unassistedAbility to perform lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying as requiredEqual Employment OpportunityPrideGlobal and it's affiliates are an equal opportunity employer.
