CNC Operator

CNC OperatorSportsman Boats is looking for a CNC operator responsible for the operation of the CNC machines to cut materials while meeting production goals and high-quality standards. Our schedule is Monday - Thursday 5:00 am - 3:45 pm. There may be opportunities for overtime based on production needs.What you will do:Perform all assigned CNC operations meeting daily and weekly production goals while maintaining high-quality standardsDetect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to managementMaintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety proceduresTransport materials to different areas of the CNC shopPerform inspection of machined products and document resultsComplete and maintain paperwork for partsAssist in other work areas in upholstery department as neededRequirements:Minimum one year of experience as a CNC operator in a fast-paced manufacturing facilityExperience using small hand toolsKnowledgeable in the areas of material cutting, sewing, upholstery, and foam assemblyAbility to work independently and as part of a team; ability to follow schedulesDetail-oriented, proactive, and able to complete tasks independently with minimal supervisionAdvanced verbal communication skillsAdvanced time management and organizational skillsHigh School diploma or equivalentPreferred Experience:Experience working with wood, leather, fiberglass, and vinyl in the marine industryExperience using the Eastman, Axyz, 3-Axis, or 5 Axis and Router systemsThis job operates in a manufacturing plant environment.
