CNC OperatorOur Elkhart team is growing. We're adding an additional shift (exact hours to be determined) to keep up with increasing order levels. Likely start time 8p or later for 8 hours, Monday through Friday.JOB SUMMARYThe CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC lathes and/or mills.

Operation includes being able to properly load/unload the machine, enter work and tool offsets, running parts, deburring and inspecting parts to make sure they're within tolerance.Responsibilities include:Being familiar with basic CNC lathe or Mill operationBe able to make work coordinate or tool offsetsLoad, unload parts and run parts to printDeburr and check parts with appropriate measuring toolsDocument inspections as requiredAdditional items as assigned by managerPRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANYThis position interacts with other trades in and outside their area including CNC Machinists, Quality Control, Project Managers, and Engineering.COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTSMechanically inclined with a desire to learn basic turning and milling and use of measuring toolsStrong communication skillsDetail-orientedTime management skillsAll Armor employees are also expected to demonstrate Armor's core values of being:Customer-FocusedPassionate about WorkSolution-OrientedDriven by IntegrityEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEHigh school education / Vocational SchoolExperience in machining or inspection is a plusAbility to push/ pull pallet loads, and lift 65 poundsMust be able to use computers with ExcelAny additional certificationsEQUIPMENT USEDPersonal Computer, Lathe, Horizontal and Vertical Mills, and small hand toolsWORKING AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONSWork will be performed on the Manufacturing FloorLifting, kneeling, pushing, pulling are required
