CNC Mill Or Lathe MachinistLocation: Santa Ana, CACompensation: $36.00 – $42 per hour (DOE) + competitive benefits packageEmployment Type: Full-TimeFLSA Status: Non-ExemptSchedule: 1st or 2nd shift (Monday – Friday)I am working with a very important client in Santa Ana, a leading aerospace manufacturer specializing in high-precision, flight-critical components for defense and commercial aviation.About the RoleThe CNC Mill/Lathe Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling or Lathe machines to produce precision aerospace components. This role performs complex setups, interprets engineering drawings, and ensures parts are manufactured to tight tolerances while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards in a fast-paced aerospace environment.Essential DutiesSet up and operate CNC milling/Lathe machines per work instructions and engineering drawingsRead and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and machining specificationsPlan machining operations based on work orders and engineering requirementsLoad raw materials using overhead cranes and proper safety proceduresSet tooling, fixtures, and reference points for CNC milling operationsEnter and run programs using CNC control systems/softwareInspect parts using gauges and precision measuring instrumentsTroubleshoot machining issues during production runsPerform daily preventative maintenance on machines and equipmentEnsure adherence to quality standards and isolate nonconforming partsComplete required production, quality, and labor documentationSupport continuous improvement and process efficiency initiativesQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED (proof required)7+ years CNC machining experience in aerospace or precision manufacturingStrong ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&TExperience with CNC milling machine setup and operationStrong shop math skills and understanding of machining principlesAbility to communicate effectively in EnglishPreferredCNC Machining certificateExperience in aerospace manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with MS Office (Excel, Word)Strong teamwork and communication skillsBenefitsCompetitive hourly pay + overtime opportunitiesMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planPaid time off and holidaysStable aerospace manufacturing environment with growth opportunities
