Data EngineerThe Data Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, testing, implementing and maintaining database code, data transformation, and data pipelines to develop and support the Medical Group Management Association’s (MGMA’s) data ecosystems.Essential Functions:Works on projects (Sabretooth) that will involve writing Microsoft Fabric, T-SQL code, Python, Databricks and Azure Data Factory.Expertise in Medallion Architecture.Implements data management and data cleansing processes to improve the quality of data.Ensures the accuracy and integrity of data and applications through detailed system analysis, efficient coding and prompt identification, and resolution of problems as they arise.Creates and modifies database objects such as tables, views, functions, stored procedures, and triggers.Using CI/CD processes, performs code migration, database change management, DevOps and MLOps and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle.Assists in implementing the data strategy and helping to construct, deliver, and maintain reporting data architecture.Facilitates data design and management for effective analytics.Provides complex reporting and analysis of the Association’s data, using a combination of the data warehouse and reporting tools.Knowledge, skills and abilities:Ability to write code to customize or create new integration programs needed to facilitate data architecture and ETL from disparate data sources.Knowledgeable in multiple BI platforms while working to implement vendor solutions.Familiarity with Azure Data Fabric, Purview a plus.
