The Administrator of Clinical Services will conduct interviews with children and their parents/guardians and provide feedback relative to psychological evaluations and consultations for children and adolescents in accordance with standards set by APA.

Reports To: Chief Administrative Officer & Deputy Chief Administrative Officer

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Monitors and ensures adherence to state and federal regulations and to professional and community standards with regard to treatment, ethics, client rights and confidentiality.
2. Conducts Court-ordered forensic assessments of children and adolescents to address psycho-legal issues and communicates findings to judges and magistrates, juvenile counselors, youth development specialists, detention center staff, and child protective services case workers as appropriate.
3. Produces forensic reports pertaining to juvenile competency to stand trial, transfer of cases to criminal Court, juvenile risk assessment, and juvenile diagnostic assessments.
4. Conducts clinical interviews and behavioral assessments of children and their parents/guardians, including social history, mental status, diagnostic considerations, and treatment recommendations.
5. Incorporates collateral information into reports from sources such as court records, parents and guardians, mental health facilities, physicians, and schools.
6. Interprets and integrates psychological testing results into work products to quantify intellectual and adaptive functioning, academic skills, emotional responding, personality aspects, and specific abilities.
7. Provides expert witness testimony in court trials as needed.
8. Ensures clients and their families receive instruction and counsel regarding compliance with prescribed recommendations.
9. Evaluates the effectiveness of intervention and rehabilitative/developmental methods.
10. Suggests the utilization of the resources of public and private agencies and community organizations to meet the developmental needs of clients.
11. Ensures individual and group counseling or psycho-educational programming is conducted with adolescents.
12. Conduct staff conferences to select, plan and evaluate treatment programs.
13. Consult with medical, nursing, and other professionals regarding diagnosis, strengths and deficits of children and adolescents as determined by the psychological evaluation.
14. Reviews intake summaries, developmental plans, and case summaries; responsible for the preparation and maintenance of ongoing confidential records.
15. Responsible for ensuring client treatments and progress reports are recorded in accordance with state regulations and in keeping with accepted community standards.
16. Oversees the administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychological testing by other staff members or learners.
17. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

1. Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology.
2. Proficient in psychological testing, including instrument selection, standardized administration, scoring and interpretation. Prior training in juvenile forensic psychology is preferred.
3. One-year pre-doctoral internship supervised by a licensed psychologist.
4. One year of related experience in a juvenile facility.
5. Licensure by the State of Tennessee; licensed out-of-state psychologists must become fully licensed by the State of Tennessee within three (3) months of date of hire.

Salary range: $80,465 - $138,000
