As a teaching assistant, you'll work closely with both teachers and students to promote a positive learning atmosphere. Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in managing classrooms, maintaining a productive and nurturing environment.
- Provide individualized and 1:1 support for students as necessary.
- Help facilitate engaging classroom activities and assist with daily learning sessions.
- Provide support with toileting needs as required, ensuring student dignity and wellbeing.
- Adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing educational setting.
- Valid Illinois Para certification is required.
- At least two years of direct classroom experience, with a strong preference for those who've supported elementary-aged children displaying challenging behaviors.
- Experience with toileting support is highly valued.
- Positive communication skills and flexibility in a school environment.
- Ability to supply at least two professional references, including names, email addresses, and contact details.
